Bear's Place shows off some soul WHEN: 9 to 10:30 p.m. today WHERE: Bear's Place, 1316 E. Third St. MORE INFORMATION: The IU Soul Revue will perform its final show of the fall semester. IU Soul Revue performances feature original compositions along with arrangements of works recorded by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, Kelly Price, D'Angelo, Mary J. Blige, Eric Benet and more. Tickets are $5 and will be on sale at the door. Audience members must be 21 or older. Wine-tasting event to benefit Riley Hospital WHEN: 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday WHERE: Tutto Bene, 213 S. Rogers St. MORE INFORMATION: Mortar Board Senior Honor Society is hosting a fundraising event at local wine cafe Tutto Bene. All proceeds from ticket sales will be used to purchase toys for the holiday season for children at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Guests will receive a glass of wine and desserts. Along with a live musical performance, wine connoisseur and Tutto Bene hospitality manager David Hale will make presentations throughout the evening. Tickets are $10 in advance -- available by e-mailing mortar@indiana.edu -- and $15 at the door. Nonacoholic drinks will be provided for those under 21. The bar will be open for guests who would like to purchase additional beverages. Dress is business casual. Film to be shown about Palestinian life WHEN: 7 p.m. today WHERE: Leo R. Dowling International Center MORE INFORMATION: The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures presents "Soraida: Women of Palestine" as part of its free movie night. This 2004 film follows Soraida and the other residents of the village of Ramallah through their daily lives. The film brings up questions about how Palestinians can maintain their humanity while living under occupation, how to avoid being consumed by hate and anger and resisting the ever-present "culture of death." Considering these issues can offer people a new perspective on Palestine, according to the National Film Board of Canada Web site. The film is in French with English subtitles. Concert series NOISE continues at IMU WHEN: 7 p.m. Thursday WHERE: Indiana Memorial Union Gallery, first floor MORE INFORMATION: This live music event is free and open to all. The Wina-Freds, The Never Weres and The Giggles will perform.

Music of Ray Charles lives again WHEN: 8 p.m. Thursday WHERE: IU Auditorium MORE INFORMATION: Following its successful box office-smashing London run, the live music experience "I Can't Stop Loving You" comes to the IU Auditorium stage. Featuring a 12-piece orchestra and a cast of 20 singers and dancers, the production will feature the music of legendary musician Ray Charles, including hits like "Hit the Road Jack," "Georgia On My Mind," "Unchain My Heart" and the show's title track, "I Can't Stop Loving You."
