Visitors to the IU Art Museum have an extra opportunity to view the two special exhibitions this summer with extended evening hours from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. July 5 to July 6. The summer special exhibitions include "Horses in Classical Art" and "Visual Improvisation: James McGarrell and the Art of Jazz" (both officially close on August 6, 2006). In addition, the museum's second floor Gallery of the Arts of Asia and the Ancient Western World will also be open. New installations in the gallery include four bird and flower prints by the Japanese publisher and printmaker Tsuchiya Rakusan (1896--1976) and Mongolian masks.
