The Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions will be holding its second day of Teaching Research Ethics workshop today in the Indiana Memorial Union. Paid registration is required and interested participants should contact Glenda \nMurray.
Friday is "Safety Fun" Family Night at the Student Recreational Sports Center as participants can learn about a variety of safety topics through fun interactive play. From 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. the family play room, swimming pool and center courts will be available. In addition, the Bloomington Township Fire Department will have their safety trailer on site for some hands-on practice in fire safety, tornado safety and first aid. Representatives from the Bloomington Police Department Drug Abuse Resistance Education program will also be present. Parking and admission are free. \nThe faculty and staff golf tournament will be held Friday at the IU Golf Course. For a $45 fee, $30 for IU golf members, the tournament will include champions to be named for both the men's and women's divisions for low gross and low net (using a modified bankers handicap). Also, a new Mixed Division with two men and two women will be featured. Women's teams will play in mixed division. Check-in is by 7:40 a.m., and Shotgun starts at 8:00 a.m.\nFriday's multi-media show, titled "The Kinsey Institute Juried Erotic Art Show," will feature photography, sculpture, painting, textiles and wearable art submitted by artists from across the United States. The contemporary artworks featured in the exhibition will be selected by Betsy Stirratt, an exhibiting artist and director of the School of Fine Arts Gallery at IU.
