Pedestrians stroll among the more than 4,000 polka-dots dotting some of the 150 trees in Washington Square Park in downtown Kansas City, Mo., Tuesday. The dots are an intergenerational art project spearheaded by the local organization Kids Helping Kids. Fourth-graders from Belinder Elementary School in Prairie Village and residents of Swope Ridge Geriatric Center in Kansas City decorated the trees on Monday.
