What: "Peau Rouge" (1970) by Alexander Calder (American 1898-1976)

Where to find it: On the lawn of the Musical Arts Center

Why you should care: Calder committed to becoming an artist in 1923 only after receiving an engineering degree from the Stevens institute of Technology in New Jersey. "Peau Rouge" means "red skin" in French and is one of Calder's paintings and jewelry, can be found across the country in museums including the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
