Team readies for San Diego State

It's 5:30 p.m. and more importantly, it's gameday today! We play in less then two hours and everyone is getting anxious. Marshall and I were sitting in our hotel room and Rod came in singing and telling us how hyped he was. We'll definitely need that energy tonight because San Diego State will not be easy. They are an athletic team that really goes to the offensive rebounds and like to run the floor and drive the basketball to the rim. We'll need to continue to play well defensively like we have the past couple of weeks and we'll especially need to block out.\nWe woke up around 10 a.m. this morning and ate breakfast and rode over to the Jazz practice facility and had a walk through for about 90 minutes. We went over San Diego State's out of bounds plays and a couple more of their offensive sets. The guards and big men also split up and got some shots up on both ends of the floor. Everyone seems focused and ready for tonight. We know we've got a special opporunity and simply need to take advantage of what we have in front of us. It all starts tonight and no game is more important than the one we have against San Diego State.\nThere was a pep rally at our hotel lobby at 4 p.m. and then we had our pre-game meal. Currently I'm with Errek and Kyle watching Gonzaga and Xavier play. There have been some great games today. 11th seed Wisconsin Milwaukee upset 6 seed Oklahoma in one of a couple of upsets. 15 seed Winthrop nearly beat 2 seed Tennessee. This is a perfect example that anything can happen in March. We know the same applies for our team. Now we just have to take care of business and set the tone tonight for our ultimate goal of playing on Monday night in Indianapolis. Go Hoosiers!!!
