EVANSVILLE -- A fugitive sex offender caught after being profiled on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" was scheduled to face child molesting charges in Indiana courts next week.\nDetectives from Evansville and Posey County plan to travel to Fargo, N.D., on Friday to pick up William Carl Davis, 33, and bring him back to Indiana.\nDavis, of Wadesville, Ind. was scheduled to appear in Posey Superior Court on Monday and in Vanderburgh Superior Court later that day or Nov. 1.\nDavis had been living in Fargo for 14 months, on the run from 10 felony sex charges in Vanderburgh and Posey counties in southwestern Indiana. He also faces one charge of failing to register as a sex offender in Posey County, where he lived when Evansville detectives started investigating allegations that he'd molested three Evansville boys.\nDavis had waived his right to an extradition hearing in North Dakota, where he has been held in jail since a neighbor in his duplex called the FBI after realizing Davis' true identity.\nDavis, who was convicted of child molesting charges in 1992, was one of several fugitives profiled Oct. 4 on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Jeanne Rosenthal of Moorhead, Minn. saw the show and recognized Davis, who was living in a Fargo duplex above her friend Karie Miller.\nRosenthal called Miller, who confirmed the match and called the FBI.
