The controversial video game, "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" has unraveled so much debate, that its new rating (Adults Only) has infringed on many stores' ability to sell it. The "AO" rating comes after the realization that by downloading an Internet "mod," sexually explicit scenes can be unlocked only on the PC version of the game. These sexually explicit scenes caused for the rating to be changed from Mature to Adult Only. Rockstar Games, the maker of the GTA series, plans to release a "clean" version of San Andreas soon.\nIn the wake of the stir, the IDS thinks our national priorities are a little skewed. Our government will condone violence yet is sure to steer clear from anything that shows nudity. This carries through to the movie industry, as well. A "PG-13" rating can show people being killed, yet the minute a breast is shown on screen, the movie is automatically deemed an "R" rated film. \nGrand Theft Auto has always been a violent video game. But the introduction to nudity, in the PC-only version no doubt, has caused for extreme and excessive regulation. The government is trying to shield children from nudity in films and games, but doesn't carry the same standard with regard to violence.
