While speaking at a Rotary Club meeting last week, Indiana senator Evan Bayh said he hasn't decided if he will run for president in 2008 or not.
"I am thinking about it," Bayh was quoted as saying in the San Jose Mercury News. "I haven't finally decided."
Not likely
I doubt that Evan Bayh will run for the presidency because I believe he does not have what is needed to attract supporters both from the party's activist core and from the cross-over voters who are currently counted as "Independents" or moderate Republicans. Given the past successes of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, I believe the Democrats will opt once again for a Southerner.
