Two males who were apparently fleeing from IU police struck a concrete light pole in the Assembly Hall "blue" parking lot Thursday night, flipping their van and spilling glass onto the pavement.\nThe incident occurred just after 9 p.m. One of the men was led off the scene in handcuffs by IU Police Department officers while another man, with bloody bandages on his left hand, was loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher. The two men could not be identified at press time.\n"It was a pursuit that is being investigated," said IUPD Capt. Keith Cash. Further information could not be confirmed by IUPD by press time.\nThe white GMC Savana van showed considerable body damage to the driver's side, while the passenger side lost all its glass. The van sat on all four wheels while resting on its broken rear axle.\nSome piece of the van, which sported an "IUPUI" decal on the rear window, took a seven-foot divot out of the pavement about 20 feet past the light pole. The "blue" lot lies between the front of Assembly Hall to 17th Street.\nPolice found two open Budweiser beer cans in the van.
