At 8:20 p.m. a parking attendant was robbed while working at the Jordan Ave. parking garage north of Read Center according to IU Police Department reports.\nIUPD was advised of the incident immediately by the attendant and officers unsuccessfully tried to locate the suspect, IUPD Lt. Jerry Minger said.\n"There was a guy who came up to the attendant in the booth and had his hand in his pocket," Minger said. "So they never saw a weapon but assumed that he may have had one in coat."\nMinger said the suspect asked the attendant to give him all of the money in the booth.\n"She asked if he was kidding and then he said 'No, I'm serious -- if you give me all of the money I won't hurt you,'" Minger said.\nThe amount of money taken from the booth has not been disclosed by police.\nThe suspect, a white male in his twenties, between 5'9" to 5'10" was last seen going towards the Wright Education Building on foot.\n"He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a greenish mask, like a stocking mask with an open hole on the face," Minger said. "He had no other discernible features."\nMinger said there are no suspects in the case so far and anyone with information about the incident should call IUPD at 855-4111.
