Less than one week after the firing of IU football Coach Gerry DiNardo, IU Athletics Director Rick Greenspan announced that a search and screen committee has been formed to find the next coach for the Hoosiers.\nAttempts to reach Greenspan were unsuccessful.\nThe eight-person committee is organized to help Greenspan in the due diligence during the search as well as identify key attributes and characteristics desired in the next coach, according to a press release.\nThe committee comes from a variety of areas at IU. Among the committee members are Ron Remak, president of the IU Varsity Club National Board, and Bruce Jaffee, IU's faculty athletics representative to the Big Ten conference, both served on the committee that made Greenspan the Hoosiers' newest athletics director Sept. 2. \nOther members of the committee include E.G. White, president of the I-Men's Association and James Wimbush, professor in the Kelley School of Business. \nThere are two students representing the greater student body on the committee -- Brian Craig, president of the IU Student Athletic Board, and Courtney Roby, a senior on the Hoosiers' football team this season.\nRounding out the list of members are Julia Lamber, IU School of Law professor and IU Senior Associate Athletics Director Chris Reynolds.
