The IU women's golf team will travel Tuesday and Wednesday to Kapolei, Hawaii, to compete in the Kent Youel Invitational tournament on one of the toughest tournament fields the team has seen to wrap up the fall golf campaign. \nKapolei Golf Course, a 6,207-yard par 72, will play host to a very tough field of teams for the Hoosiers to compete against. Highlighting the 15-team field are defending national champions and current No. 3-ranked UCLA, along with No. 6 ranked Arizona.\nOther teams playing in the tournament are Oklahoma, Hawaii, UC-Irvine, Colorado, Fresno State, California State Northridge, Denver, Oregon, Oregon State, Boise State, Southern Illinois and Santa Clara.\n"I think this will be a great tournament for us for two reasons," IU coach Clint Wallman said in a statement. "(The Kent Youel Invitational)is the final tournament of the fall, and we are going to be battling some of the top teams in the country. This will give us a chance to serve as a measuring stick as how much we have improved. It is also going to be a good tournament for us because it gives us a chance to see teams from different regions."\nThe Hoosier lineup will be led by stroke average leader junior Molly Redfearn along with seniors Lissa Putnam and Bethany Brunner, sophomore Kendal Hake and senior Katie Carlson. The women golfers will be looking to rebound after a 10th place finish in a 12-team field three weeks ago at the Shootout at the Legends tournament.\n"I think we need a good performance to gain some momentum entering the spring season," Wallman said. "This fall season has been a transition for the girls, as well as myself. Now we know what to improve on, and I will have a much better idea of our expectations for the spring season." \nIU begins play at 8 a.m. Tuesday with a shotgun start, and another 18-hole round later in the afternoon. Play concludes with one round beginning at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start Wednesday. \nLive results can be tracked at www.golfstatresults.com.
