Men's soccer senior Drew Shinabarger presented President George W. Bush with a personalized No. 1 'Bush' jersey Tuesday as the Hoosiers were among five fall NCAA champions honored by the president on the south lawn of the White House. Other teams honored included Southern California and Louisiana State's co-national champion football teams, North Carolina's women's soccer team and the USC's women's volleyball team. \nThe one-day trip for the Hoosiers also included a tour of the White House, a visit to the capitol building and an alumni reception at the National Press Club. \nThe recently-retired legend Jerry Yeagley and his successor Mike Freitag led IU to Washington, D.C. \nBush commented on the Hoosiers' success and praised Yeagley for his accomplishments during his career, which include six national championships and 544 wins -- the most in Division I history.
