Civil rights panel on Friday\nIU's Over a Cup of Tea series is hosting a panel discussion featuring IU Civil Rights activists. The presentation will feature Dr. Mary Ann Wynkoop, author of "Dissent in the Heartland: The Sixties at Indiana University," moderating a panel of alumni who were actively involved in the civil rights movement while students at IU. \nThe history department, political science department, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Asian American Association and the Black Student Union are co-sponsoring the event.\nIt will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23 in the Indiana Memorial Union's University Club President's Room.
Chinese studies director to speak\nDavid M. Lampton, director of Chinese professor at Johns Hopkins, will give a presentation Friday, Jan. 23 at Ballantine Hall. Dr. Lampton is the author of a number of books and studies at the Nixon Center and a articles on Chinese domestic and international issues. The event is scheduled to begin at noon in Room 004.
