Etiquette dinners during spring\n"Dine like a Diplomat" etiquette dinners, where students can learn the proper etiquette for business luncheons and dinners, will hold a spring session this semester.\nThe dinners will be held Feb. 11 and Mar. 30 in the Federal Room inside the IMU. The cost is $50 a person for non-students. Students who are Student Alumni Association members pay $5, and non-members pay $10.\nThe series is sponsored by the IU Alumni Club of Monroe County, the Student Alumni Association and the Arts and Sciences Placement Office.\n"By participating in the etiquette program, students will gain confidence in their ability to expertly navigate through some of the most intimidating interview situations," Sondra Inman, director of student programs at the IU Alumni Association, said in a press release.\nThe workshops to prepare students for the dinners will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 17 and Mar. 9 in the Kelley Dining Room at the DeVault Alumni Center. Barbara Bekins, a research hydrologist at the U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park, Calif., is the featured speaker for the event.\nBloomington Transit schedule for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day\nBloomington Transit is reducing three of its bus schedules for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Jan. 19. The Route 6 Campus Shuttle will be running on a Saturday schedule and the C Route will run on a Summer and Break Weekday schedule. The Route 7 Bryan Park -- Park and Ride route will not run. \nAll other Bloomington Transit services will operate normally. \nRetreat offers chance to improve leadership skills\nThe National Residence Hall Honorary is sponsoring its 15th annual Leadership Retreat at the Fourwinds Resort Jan. 31 through Feb. 1. \nThe retreat offers workshops to improve students' leadership skills.
