Asian Culture Center to host roundtable on stereotypes\nThe Asian Culture Center hosts a semimonthly roundtable discussion that allows students to talk about the myths and stereotypes on Asian-Pacific Americans and to discuss ways to dispel misconceptions. The discussions are held from noon to 1:15 p.m., every other Tuesday at the Asian Culture Center, located at 807 E. 10th St. A light lunch is provided. Hillel center sponsors Weekly Hebrew Hours Tuesday\nThe Weekly Hebrew Hour, a chance for students to practice Hebrew with other students at dinner, is every Tuesday at the Helene G. Simon Hillel Center in the Kosher Cafe, 730 E. Third St. The hour is also sponsored by the Jewish Studies Student Association and the Helene G. Simon Hillel Center. Choreographer to hold discussion on ballet, other dance\nMillicent Hodson, a choreographer and dance historian, will participate in an Anthropology Brown Bag Lunch Series from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday in the Student Building, Room 159. Optometry school to host eye wear show\nThe IU School of Optometry will host a fashion show to display the 2004 designer lines for eye wear. The event will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the second floor of the Atwater Eye Care Center, located at 800 E. Atwater Avenue. Admission is free. Music Theory program presents speakers Wednesday\nThe IU Music Theory Colloquium Series is presenting two speeches beginning at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Music Annex, Room 267. Frank Samarotto will speak about famed-composer Johannes Brahms, titled "Treading the Limits of Tonal Coherence: Transformation vs. Prolongation in Selected Works by Brahms." Collins presents readings from famous poet\nThe Collins Living-Learning Center is presenting a poetry reading at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Collins Coffee House. The reading will feature the work of Cathy Bowman, a famous poet from Texas, and will be accompanied by jazz accompanist John Lindberg. Admission is free. Mac OS X update to be presented\nThe IU Macintosh Users group is presenting the most recent update for Mac OS, Mac OS X 10.3., from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Walnut Room of the Indiana Memorial Union.
