FORT CARSON, Colo. -- A Fort Carson soldier who was killed in Iraq over the weekend when a bomb exploded near his Humvee was identified Monday as an Indiana man.\nStaff Sgt. Frederick L. Miller Jr., 27, of Hagerstown, Ind., was killed Saturday night outside Ramadi, about 60 miles west of Baghdad, the Defense Department said.\nMiller was assigned to Troop K in the 3rd Squadron of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment based at Fort Carson, near Colorado Springs. He was the 19th soldier from Fort Carson and the 12th from the 3rd Armored killed in Iraq since the war began.\nAnother Fort Carson soldier was killed Thursday. The soldier, a member of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, died after apparently touching a live power line while clearing low-hanging wires over a highway. His name has not been released.
