The IU Police Department reported the following activity:\nMay 17\n• Law student Aaron M. Staser, 25, resident of Gourley Pike, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated, per se. \n• A one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Walnut Grove Street and Cottage Grove Avenue caused damage to several city street signs. Estimated damage is $250. \nMay 18\n• Two non-students, Travis W. Hutcheson, 30, resident of Hamden, Conn., and Markus A. Turkopuls, 32, resident of Fairfield, Conn., were encountered at Kirkwood Avenue and Dunn Street at the center of a disturbance. Following a short pursuit on foot, both subjects were placed under arrest for public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. The subjects were transported to the Monroe County Jail without further incident. \n• Non-student Ryan L. Dobson, 31, resident of 5615 W. State Road 45, was encountered at the scene of a property damage vehicular crash. The subject was advised of implied consent, but subsequently refused a chemical test. Dobson was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and reckless possession of paraphernalia. Dobson was transported to the Monroe County Jail. \n• Law student Shannon L. Malcolm, 25, resident of 1614 Arlington Road, was encountered by an officer detailed to the Indiana DUI Task Force, and a vehicle stop was initiated. Malcolm was advised of implied consent, but refused a chemical test. Malcolm was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and additionally charged with the infraction for chemical test refusal. Malcolm was transported to the Monroe County Jail. \n• Senior Isiah R. Parker, 22, resident of the 2000 block of North Walnut Street, turned himself in to the Monroe County Jail. Parker was wanted on a warrant charging him with receiving stolen property. The warrant resulted from an IUPD investigation of an incident at T.I.S. Bookstore last week. \n• An officer found a large sheet of plexiglass shattered at the Sholler House located at the Biology Department Nature Center off Headley Road. Estimated damage is $100.\nMay 19\n• Non-student Michael S. Johnson, 23, resident of 1316 S. Walnut St., was stopped at Sixth and Dunn streets. Johnson was subsequently arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and transported to the Monroe County Jail. \n• Graduate student John F. Duncan, resident of Tulip Tree Apartments, reported damage to a moped while it was parked in the area of the bike rack south of the Tulip Tree Apartments' parking lot. Estimated damage is $300. \nMay 20\n• Junior Paul A. Young, 21, resident of East 10th Street, was arrested for public intoxication on the east side of Ballantine Hall. \n• An employee reported the theft of a grill from Sembower Field, 1200 N. Fee Lane. Estimated loss is $150. \nMay 21\n• Junior Jeong Hyeong Lee, resident of Redbud Apartments, reported the theft of a moped. Estimated loss is $1,600. \n• Sophomore Michael A. Blumenthal, 23, resident of Brownstone Drive, was arrested at 17th and Walnut Grove Streets for possession of marijuana less than 30 grams and driving while suspended prior. \nMay 22\n• Sophomore Suk Won Choi reported the theft of a green Yamaha YJ50 motor scooter. Estimated loss is $1,600. \n• A female reported an older white male walking around the Arboretum without clothes. \n• IU employee Arlene Hill reported thefts from a vehicle at the SRSC lot. Estimated loss is $304. \nMay 23\n• Freshman Kamri Macon, who had resided in Forest Quad, reported the theft of two winter coats she inadvertently left behind during move outs. Estimated loss is $425. \nMay 24\n• Junior Seth Ian Reel, 21, resident of North Walnut Street, was arrested for theft and public intoxication. \n• Senior Jonathan D. Revtyak, 24, resident of East 17th Street, was arrested for theft and public intoxication.
