Liberty Dr., and took an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday afternoon, police said.\nWalking in at 2:20 p.m., the unidentified man passed a note to a teller saying he was robbing the bank, Bloomington Police Department Sergeant Bill Parker said. Police are reviewing the tape.\nLaw enforcement responded within minutes, with a BPD detective two minutes from the scene of the crime, Parker said.\nA combination of eight FBI and BPD officers worked throughout the afternoon searching for evidence inside the bank.\nPolice said the suspect is described as a white male in his mid- to late 20s, of medium height, thin build and dark complexion, wearing a dark colored baseball cap. \nInvestigators are checking into the possibility the man may be responsible for previous robberies, FBI Agent Gary Dunn said.\nRepresentatives from Union Planters were unavailable for comment.\nThe ongoing investigation by the FBI and the BPD welcomes those with information to call the local police at 339-4477.
