WHITELAND, Ind. -- A man whose vehicle crashed into a motel room, killing a woman inside, had apparently suffered a seizure and did not know the woman or her male companion.\nThe driver, Nicholas Davis, 22, has a seizure disorder and had not taken his prescribed medication for two days, Johnson County sheriff's Maj. Terry Nichalson said Tuesday.\nInvestigators were at first uncertain whether the crash at the Wishing Well Motel was accidental.\nNancy J. Green, 52, of Indianapolis was pronounced dead at the scene and her companion, James R. Green, 56, also of Indianapolis, remained in critical condition Tuesday at an Indianapolis hospital.\nNichalson said James Green was Nancy Green's brother-in-law.\n"It's a tough situation for the family," Nichalson told the Daily Journal of Franklin.\nThe pair had checked into the motel about noon Monday -- about 90 minutes before the accident, motel manager Harish Patel said.\nDavis apparently had a seizure and lost control of his sports-utility vehicle while driving on U.S. 31 and it crashed into the motel, Nichalson said.\nAuthorities have not decided whether to file charges against Davis, who was treated and released from an Indianapolis hospital Monday.
