Coming into the Roy Griak Invitation at the University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course, the women's cross-country team had finished first and second respectively in their first two meets of the season.\nAfter the results were added up Saturday afternoon, the Hoosiers finished fifth out of 22 teams with a score of 153. IU finished just four points behind Marquette. Michigan State, Arizona State and Providence College took the top three spots.\n"With the way we ran, we know we are capable of getting Marquette," Wilson said. "I didn't feel like it was the greatest race between all of the top-five teams, but it's promising for us that we did that well and didn't run our best race. I feel like this sets us up nicely for the rest of the season."\nThe Hoosiers were paced by sophomore Mindy Peterson who finished 13th with a time of 21:35.1. One hundred and ninety-six harriers finished the six-kilometer race. Junior Audrey Giesler finished right behind Peterson in 15th with a time of 21:36.\nThe woes of IU field hockey continued this weekend as the Hoosiers dropped both their weekend games. IU was shut out by Georgetown, 3-0, on Saturday and was clobbered 6-1 on Sunday by the Nittany Lions of Penn State. \nSophomore Lauren Brophy made her goaltending debut in place of senior Molly Pulkrabek. Brophy had 4 saves on the day but let 3 shots past her as the Hoyas were on the attack all afternoon. They outshot the Hoosiers 8-3 in the first half alone. \nCoach Amy Robertson still managed to pull some positives out of the Hoosiers' loss.\n" The game will help us build the program and get better in the future.," Robertson said. "The outcome today is only a temporary setback." \nOn Sunday, The Hoosiers were manhandled in their Big Ten opener by Penn State as IU was outshot 27-2. Pulkrabek had a rough outing. She recorded ten saves, but gave up five goals in the first half alone.\nPenn State junior forward Heather Conroy lit it up against IU with eight points in the first half off of three goals and two assists.\n"Penn State is a very strong team and all of their players are a threat," Robertson said. "I was proud that we could still trust our attack and move the ball with confidence against such a good team. We are building every game"
