IUPD Blotter

The IU Police Department reported the following activity:\nMarch 8\n• IUPD and the Bloomington Fire Department responded to a fire at 901 E. 10th St.\n• Four 12-year-old females were referred to Probation Department for shoplifting at three different businesses on East Kirkwood Avenue. All the females were released to their parents.\n• IUPD and Bloomington Fire Department responded to a second call at 901 E. 10th Street. Estimated damage is $10,000 to $15,000.\n• Nonstudent Dustin Porter, 21, resident of Bloomington, was arrested for trespassing at Collins Center.\n• Nonstudent Rebecca McIntosh, 45, resident of Fairfax Road, was arrested at Sixth and Dunn Streets for operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and false informing. \n• Nonstudent Mark McIntosh, 46, resident of Fairfax Road, was arrested at Sixth and Dunn streets for an outstanding warrant, public intoxication, possession of marijuana and false informing.\nMarch 9\n• Nonstudent Andrew Chapman, 21, was arrested at Fourth Street and Indiana Avenue for operating while intoxicated.\nMarch 11\n• IU Residential Program and Services Supervisor Patrick Inglefield reported vandalism to a glass door on the east end of Forest Quad B at ground level. Estimated damage is $400.\n• IU faculty member Ivan Kreilkamp reported damage to his vehicle by debris thrown from a brush cutter at 10th and Jefferson streets. Estimated damage is $300.\n• Doctoral student Cheghui Li, resident of E. Third Street, reported her car window broken out and theft of her parking permit. Estimated damage is $180.\n• IUPD found damage to the Jordan Avenue parking garage. Estimated damage is $100.\nMarch 12\n• IU RPS supervisor Patrick Inglefield reported vandalism to a window at the east end of Forest Quad B formal lounge at ground level. Estimated damage is $250.\n• A male student reported being stabbed with a knife while at the east side of Forest Quad. Injury was minor, and he declined medical treatment. Suspect described as a white male with a goatee, 6 feet tall, wearing a green jacket and blue jeans. Incident is under investigation.\nMarch 13\n• Nonstudent Curtis Favor, 20, resident of Nashville, Ind, was arrested in the Von Lee parking lot for reckless possession of paraphernalia and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear for pretrial conference on the original charge of illegal consumption and failure to appear for initial hearing on the original charge of conversion/pretrial diversion violation.\n• Nonstudent Joshua Bewley, 25, resident of Indianapolis, was stopped for speeding on East 17th Street and later arrested for driving while suspended.\nMarch 14\n• Masters student Valentine Kanesvski, 32, resident of East Third Street, was arrested on Dunn and Sixth streets for public intoxication.\n• Nonstudent Kimberly Luken, 20, resident of Greensburg, Ind, was arrested at Henderson and Atwater streets for operating while intoxicated and illegal consumption.\n• Four juveniles were involved in vandalism at Seventh Street and Woodlawn Avenue parking lot. Two were released to their parents with no charges. The other two were referred to the Probation Department; one for criminal mischief and illegal consumption and the second one for illegal consumption.\nMarch 15\n• Officers responded to a possible bicycle theft in the area of Morgan Hall where a bicycle frame and tire were found. At this time, no owner of the bicycle has been located. Estimated damage is $150.
