IU has chosen the latest winners of the Won-Joon Yoon Memorial Scholarship. Sheila Lalwani, a senior majoring in journalism and Shaila Mulholland, who is pursuing a graduate degree in education are the recipients of the award. Both will receive $1,500 scholarships.\nPresident Myles Brand established the scholarship in 1999 after Yoon was killed when he was shot by a white supremacist. He was killed in Bloomington.\nThe Won-Joon Yoon scholarship is awarded to IU students who have shown exceptional tolerance for racial and religious differences through service, personal commitment, academics and future potential.
