Women split weekend matches

The women's tennis team returned to Bloomington after splitting its two away matches this weekend. After opening the weekend with a win at Illinois State, the Hoosiers dropped their Big Ten opener in a close match to Iowa, 4-3. \nIU (10-2, 0-1) and the Hawkeyes grabbed three victories each in the singles matches, but Iowa grabbed one more doubles match that was the eventual deciding factor. \nThe Hoosiers entered the Big 10 season with a record of 10-1 after their victory Saturday against Illinois State.\nIU won the doubles point after only losing at the No. 1 spot. \nThe Hoosiers will face Northwestern March 9.
