Local agency earns top prize

Locally based strategic marketing firm Fine Light swept the recent Healthcare Marketing Report Advertising Awards, the country's largest advertising competition. Two IU students interned this year at the Bloomington firm, which snagged a total of 21 awards this year.\nThe judging panel consisted of healthcare marketers, advertising creative directors and marketing and advertising professionals.The editorial board of the Healthcare Marketing Report, a national publication focusing on issues related to the field of healthcare marketing, also contributed to the panel. \n"We are thrilled at this overwhelming recognition of our hard work," said Sherman Rogers, president of Fine Light. "These awards are representative of our group's talents in a broad spectrum of media. Each year we strive to increase our capabilities both technically and creatively...it's great to be rewarded for our efforts."\nFine Light was awarded Best of Show in this year's competition. The firm, which maintains a variety of business partnerships outside the healthcare industry, has offices in Bloomington, Louisville, Kentucky and New York City.\nSeveral IU students, including sophomore Anna Cardinal, interned at the firm this semester. New interns are selected each semester.\nFine Light will also receive a Bronze award at the International Film and Video Creative Awards Competition in June. The firm's work will be displayed in a 2-day Gala Award Presentation Screening in Chicago June 7-8.
