Hoosiers face 4 Big Ten teams at Hawkeye Invite

After home match, team heads back on the road

The women's golf team gets back on the road again this weekend, competing at the 26th Annual Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa, Saturday and Sunday. The team will look to rebound from a fifth-place finish in the Indiana Invitational last weekend.\nIU will battle with Big Ten foes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and play host to Iowa on the 6,000-yard, par-73 course. \nThe 12-team tournament begins at 9 a.m. Saturday with 36 holes and will continue at 8:30 a.m. Sunday with 18 holes.\nIU has had a success in this tournament, since its first year of participation in 1995, having never finished lower than second. IU has claimed the tournament's title three times in the last four years. IU did not compete in the invitational last season, but won on its last trip to Iowa City.\nIU is ranked 26th in the country by the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings.\nExpected to participate in the tournament for IU are seniors Natalie Tucker and Inga Snyder, junior Tiffany Fisher, sophomore Cara Stuckey and freshman Karen Dennison.
