Knight venue changed to Dunn Meadow

Coach Bob Knight confirmed Tuesday evening he will speak to the student body at 6 p.m. today in Dunn Meadow.\nThe IDS planned and sponsored the event to give Knight an open forum to speak to the IU community.\nKnight said his speech will be positive and directed toward his fans. Knight also said he will encourage students to remain civil, to avoid any destructive or irresponsible behavior.\nChristopher Simpson, vice president for public affairs and government relations, said he expects today's event to go smoothly.\n"I think we, in the last few days, handled the situations with a lot of students very appropriately, and we'll handle (today) appropriately too," he said. "The Coach speaks to the students every fall, and it has a tremendous turnout, and it will be that way tomorrow. Bob Knight deserves that opportunity and we look forward to hearing what he has to say."\nThe IDS asks everyone attending the event to remain respectful to Knight, the University and one another.
