Four tennis players eliminated in Clay Court Championships

All four participants from IU's men's tennis team who went to the T. Rowe Price in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, but fell in National Intercollegiate Clay Court Championships in Pikesville, Md. have been eliminated. While seniors Ian Arons and Paul Jacobson were eliminated in the qualifying round Wednesday, senior Milan Rakvica advanced to Thursday's main draw. Rakvica won his first round match against Virginia Commonwealth's Fernando Sanchez his second round match to Oskar Johansson of Arkansas 5-7, 7-5, 6-1.\nArons and Jacobson also competed in the doubles tournament Thursday, but results were not available at press time. The rest of the men's tennis team is currently in South Bend, competing in the Tom Fallon Men's Tennis Invitational, an event that is not scored by the NCAA.
