WFIU, WTIU, IU Radio and Television win awards

WFIU Public Radio, WTIU Public Television and IU Radio and Television Services won a combined eight national awards in recent contests, according to a WFIU newsletter.

The Radio Television Digital News Association awarded the WFIU-WTIU News team a National Murrow Award for Best Newscast, alongside the seven other Murrow Awards they received in April.

Public Radio News Directors also gave WFIU News two PRNDI awards, and they earned a first place award for Multi-Media Presentation and Short Documentary for their "Cannabidiol, Kids & Politics" piece. 

WTIU and IU Radio and Television Services were also the winners of two silver and three bronze awards in the 39th Annual Telly Awards.

With these awards, WFIU, WTIU and IU Radio and Television Services now have 60 awards from their work in 2017.
