“There is never a good time for something like this, but it is a decision that had to be made moving forward,” Crean said.
The 35-year-old McLeod spent two seasons with IU after previously serving as an assistant coach at Fairfield University. He played in the NBA for three seasons from 1999-2001 out of St. John’s and Duke. An injury ended his career in 2002 and has been coaching at the high school, AAU and collegiate levels since.
