The second-class state of the union

By all accounts, President Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night was a rousing success for all members of the American population who do not identify as a straight white male. In his speech, Obama touched on key social rights advancements, from immigration and improved foreign relations to minimum wage reform and post-secondary education subsidies.
