WEST LAFAYETTE -- They're called free throws, but with no time left on the clock in overtime of an IU-Purdue game, neither team could have had more invested in Carl Landry's 15-foot shot. Purdue's Landry missed the free throw, and IU took advantage of their second chance in the next overtime period, defeating Purdue 75-73. The win bumped IU (7-7, 2-1) back to a .500 record and gave Purdue (4-10, 0-4) their fourth straight Big Ten loss.

IU's young indoor track season continued this weekend at the Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse, providing the Hoosiers another chance to gauge their fitness and prepare for the meat of the schedule, which begins next weekend in Bloomington against Ohio State and Purdue.

An 18-year-old IU female reported being sexually assaulted Thursday night at the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, according to IU Police Department Lt. Jerry Minger.

Hoosiers prevail in double overtime victory

It took two overtimes and three Hoosiers in double-figures to do it, but IU held on to win against the Purdue Boilermakers, Saturday afternoon in Mackey Arena. Junior guard Bracey Wright led the team with 26 points, followed by freshman center D.J. White with 16 and freshman forward Robert Vaden with 11.
