Shots fired at Holocaust Museum, guard dies

WASHINGTON – An elderly gunman opened fire with a rifle inside the crowded U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on Wednesday, gravely wounding a security guard before two other officers returned fire. The assailant and his victim were both hospitalized.

Five Hoosiers going to big leagues

IU to offer discounted employee parking permits

The University is now offering employee discounts for those who own zero emission vehicles or a car that meets the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED criteria, according to an e-mail sent out by IU Parking Operations.

Kinsey Institute researchers awarded NIH grant

Researchers at The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction have received a $423,500 grant from the National Institutes of Health to study barriers to correct condom use.

IU student discovered slain in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS – Police said two men and an IU student were found “brutally murdered” Friday afternoon in Cedar Ridge Apartments on the far east side of Indianapolis.

Tuition rates might not be set until late July

With the state budget unset until possibly the end of this month, IU trustees likely will wait until July before setting tuition rates for the school year that starts Aug. 31.
