Ben Motz, a lecturer in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, created his Mypage site as a way to share his research. However, because of University Information Technology Services’ “no-robots” policy on the Mypage web server at IU, the information Motz posts on his personal IU website cannot be searched by commercial search engines.

‘Breaking Away’ brings Little 500 to IU Cinema

The award winning Little 500 film "Breaking Away" was shown at the IU Cinema on Sunday and Monday. Some were seeing the movie for the first time. Others, like Tom Schwoegler who was the technical adviser for "Breaking Away", were seeing for yet another time.

The second annual GLOWfest promises to put on a show Thursday that will be brighter and bigger than ever. With headliner electronic artist Pretty Lights playing to a sold-out crowd, this year’s GLOWfest is sure to be an unforgettable concert-going experience. But behind all of the pretty lights, 50 IU student interns have spent months working to make sure the concert will go off without a hitch.

On Monday, the Senate Election Committee and the House Elections and Apportionment Committee had public meetings at the Indiana Statehouse to unveil plans for new legislative and congressional districts.

Rebetika group performs to celebrate classic Greek music

Rebetiki Istoria, meaning “rebetika history,” is the oldest and most famous rebetika musical group in Athens, Greece, according to the event’s program. Rebetika is a genre of music developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by the working classes in urban areas of Greece.

IU SIFE students win regionals

The members of IU’s Students in Free Enterprise group won a regional competition March 28 in Chicago and are advancing to the SIFE National Exposition, which will take place May 10-12 in Minneapolis.

Mars men

The Mars Science Laboratory launches into space November 2011. It’s mission: to detect the planet’s habitability.  Eight scientific instruments will be on the rover, two of which have IU professors behind them.
