The Women’s Student Association at IU performed a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” on Friday and Saturday. The proceeds went to Middle Way House and the national V-Day Spotlight: Women of Haiti. “The Vagina Monologues” is a play aimed at creating awareness of women’s issues and abuse. Ensler created V-Day, a nonprofit organization associated with the play, and it has raised more than $75 million for women’s anti-violence groups since 1998.
The cast of the University Players brought “A New Brain” to life this weekend, and Studio Theatre in the Lee Norvelle Theatre and Drama Center provided the stage.

The IU School of Education has partnered with the Peace Corps to offer credits toward a Master’s International Program. The program is combined with the master’s degree through the Department of Literacy, Culture and Language Education in the School of Education. A Peace Corps service assignment would count for six credits.
