Whisper War was released at the perfect time. It’s meant to be listened to with the windows down on a sunny day. Although the latter half of the album isn’t as impressive as the first, The Cab may have pioneered a new sub-genre: boyband emo.
With three albums over their 17-year existence, Portishead has never been prolific, but they’ve never taken the chance to skew their outstanding track record, either. Third sees Portishead again living up to their standard that if you’re going to take forever to put out material, it better be damn good.
Back by popular demand, Harold and Kumar pick up where they left off in White Castle with perfecting the art of the well timed fart and stereotypical gags that leave no minority untouched. The chemistry between the characters and the film’s unabashed humor compensate for a mediocre plot.

Watching “Made of Honor” is nothing but a cruel reminder of the movie that it will never live up to, the classic romantic comedy and mother of all chick flicks: “My Best Friend’s Wedding.” Simply the same tale, but with reversed roles and a more modern spin, the sole highlight of this film is the amazingly charming and handsome Patrick Dempsey. (There are five, count ‘em five, shirtless scenes).
“Baby Mama” has some remnants of Tina Fey’s comedic gold, but it’s obviously just an attempt for a box office hit. The film is certainly humorous, but her fans should expect more. Sure, it’s got more depth than all of Will Ferrell’s films combined, but that’s not saying much.
