Congress is out of (gun) control

If Congress can’t manage to pass a common-sense law that has bipartisan sponsors and nearly unanimous support, all with the intention of saving lives, I don’t know what it’s good for.

IU summer orientation continues through August

Summer orientation is the largest of four New Student Orientation programs for students and their parents, according to the Office of First Year Experience’s website. It is attended by most students who enter IU in the fall. It is a two-day experience designed to help incoming freshmen navigate campus and learn what resources are available to them.

Bringing mental illness ‘out of the shadows’

On June 3, the Obama administration welcomed a National Conference on Mental Health to the White House. Pescosolido said she believed part of the conference was to correct the misinformed image that people involved in mass shootings suffer from mental illness.
