INDIANAPOLIS -- An attorney told the Indiana Supreme Court on Tuesday that abortion clinics should be allowed to pursue a challenge of Indiana's abortion waiting-period law because privacy is a core right under the state constitution that extends to women seeking to end their pregnancies.

Suicide bomber kills 23, wounds 36

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A suicide bombing ripped through a popular Baghdad kebab restaurant at lunchtime, killing at least 23 people and wounding 36 Sunday as insurgents stepped up attacks nationwide, defying two major U.S.-led offensives aimed at routing foreign fighters.

IU alumnus, Pulitzer winner dies of cancer

Gene Miller, 76, died Friday from cancer, according to the Miami Herald. He graduated from IU in 1950 and immediately went to work for The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette for $50 a week according to his obituary, which he wrote before he died.
