IU gets minimal flu shots

After a severe drought of flu shots both locally and nationwide, the IU Health Center has received what director Hugh Jessup calls "just a little bit more of a shipment." But this little bit should be enough, Jessup said, to serve needy individuals of the IU community.

U.S. Rep. Baron Hill has gotten used to criticism in the last few years. As soon as he entered Bloomington North High School on a routine campaign stop, he immediately had constituents asking him about campaign advertisements accusing him of misrepresenting the people of the 9th Congressional District.

Students ask campus, 'Where is the love?'

The chemical makeup of leaves becomes especially noticeable each fall, as the vivid reds, oranges, yellows and browns burst out in an array of colorful foliage. As an area renowned for attracting leaf watchers, the colors in southern Indiana are especially important because tourism is a vital part of the southern state's economy, and the leaves contribute to that.

Poli Sci professors describe 'gulf' between parties

Reporter lectures on journalists' rights

A journalist found himself in a tough position when he got a phone call. On the other line, an FBI agent told him he and two other reporters would be put behind bars if they failed to hand over 12 hours of interview tapes with a key witness to a terrorism trial. Weeks later, a U.S. District Judge issued the official order saying that by 9:30 the next morning the tapes must be given up. So he did what he felt was right. Abdon Pallasch told his two young sons he might be going to jail.

Doc Counsilman, Bobby Knight and Jerry Yeagley are considered to be some the greatest college coaches in the history of their respected sports. It's time for Hoosier fans to add another name to the list of Hall-of-Fame coaches: diving coach Jeff Huber.

Group dedicated to arts networking comes to Bloomington
