A man was arrested for aggravated battery after the Bloomington Police Department responded to Peoples Park at about 8 p.m. Monday at the 500 block of East Kirkwood Avenue to a report of a fight, BPD Sgt. Cody Forston said.

Carrender faces murder charge

Father arrested in son's murder

A Morgan County man faces a preliminary murder charge for the fatal shooting of his 19-year-old son Sunday. David Carrender, 49, is being held without bail in the Morgan County Jail and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday, Morgan County Sheriff Robert Downey said.

Sacred Heart Church’s goal is to be simple, providing a more classic and intimate setting, Pastor Brandon Shurr said. The church has stripped away all electrical sound equipment to allow every member in attendance to be heard.
