IU beats Ohio State behind D.J. White’s 21 points

The No. 14 IU men’s basketball team showed no signs of an emotional hangover after last Thursday night’s game against Illinois as the Hoosiers won their second-straight road game in Columbus Sunday, defeating Ohio State 59-53.

John Waldron Arts Center brings Spanish theater to the stage

This past weekend, magic, love and mystery came alive in Bloomington during the performance of “Magia, misterio, amor y desamor” at the John Waldron Arts Center. Presented by Grupo de Teatro Vida, a Spanish language performance group, the show consisted of three short plays.

Buskirk theater packed for local artist

The Buskirk-Chumley Theater was filled to its capacity Saturday for Carrie Newcomer’s album release concert. Newcomer, a singer/songwriter who lives in Bloomington, started her night by telling the audience “it’s good to be home.”

Writers support deal to end 3-month strike

LOS ANGELES – Hollywood writers on Saturday gave resounding support to a tentative agreement with studios that could end a strike that has crippled the entertainment industry. However, it appeared the approval process might briefly delay their return to work.

D.J. White firmly fixed his eyes on Ohio State freshman Kosta Koufos just seconds after Koufos fouled White when the senior forward threw down a two-handed slam. For a second, Buckeye guard Jon Diebler tried to step between the two to prevent anything from happening. Even one official pulled White, IU’s senior forward, aside to try to calm him down.
