All Day I Dream About Signees: adidas May Classic tourney invades IU

While Gary Harris, Jeremy Hollowell and Aaron Thomas all have received scholarship offers from the Hoosiers, this weekend marked the first time many of the Hoosier faithful caught a glimpse of the potential signees. The three players have become a hot commodity for several Big Ten and other Midwestern schools during this summer’s AAU circuit.

Hot summer spots in B-town

As a certified “townie,” I’m always confronted with the same state of shock when I introduce myself as “Kyrie Shepley, from Bloomington.” I’m amazed at how many students never leave the campus bubble and miss out on the rest of Monroe County. IU School of Medicine gets $8.5 million grant to update Riley Hospital for Children

The IU School of Medicine has received a federal grant from the National Institutes of Health for nearly $8.5 million. This will allow a floor of the Riley Hospital for Children, the hospital that benefits from IU Dance Marathon, to become a state-of-the-art facility for pediatric clinical research.

‘Blogging to show IU’s true colors’

“Painting the Bridge: Blogging to show IU’s true colors” was added to the website in December and features blog posts by eight students and several staff members, which are posted under categories such as “academics,” “arts,” “athletics,” “exams” and “travel.” The blog’s theme and title is based on the Jordan Avenue bridges that are painted by IU students to promote events and community involvement.
