People who can’t wait the last three weeks until Election Day can vote early on campus today through Thursday.
Voters registered in Monroe County can fill out in-person absentee
ballots between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at racquetball room 12 in the
School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.

Indiana’s gubernatorial candidates will sit down for their third and final debate tonight at the IU Auditorium.
Republican Gov. Mitch Daniels, Democrat Jill Long Thompson and
Libertarian Andy Horning will debate at 7 p.m. This will be one of the
last opportunities voters have to see the differences between the
candidates.
Tom Cochrun, a retired Indianapolis broadcaster, will moderate the
event. The debate will feature more give-and-take between the
candidates, said Kyle Niederpruem, a board member of the Indiana Debate
Commission.

He isn’t buying what McCain is trying to sell. And he doesn’t want anyone to buy it either.
The Democratic presidential nominee criticized McCain’s health care,
tax and economic policies Wednesday during a rally in Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS – Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama stumped
Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis, less than a day after his debate
with Republican nominee John McCain.
Obama spoke about the
economy and used recent financial problems to emphasize his message of
unity in front thousands of supporters at the Indiana State
Fairgrounds.
"If we learned anything from this economic crisis, it's that we're
all connected," said the Illinois senator. "We're all in this together.
We will rise or fall as one nation, as one people."

Just days after one of the biggest downfalls in the stock market’s
history, James Bullard, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St.
Louis, told an IU crowd that little was known about how the fallout
would ultimately affect ordinary people.
Bullard, an IU Ph.D. economics graduate of 1990, spoke to about 100
students and faculty Thursday night at Alumni Hall in the Indiana
Memorial Union.

Judges from the Indiana Court of Appeals heard oral arguments Monday in
the IU School of Law in a case regarding two counts of child
molestation in Mishler v. State of Indiana.
This was a part of the “Appeals on Wheels” program, which brings some
of the state’s appellate hearings to places in Indiana for educational
purposes.
