Grief is a word mostly used to describe the feeling and process the living endure after someone they know has passed. The process is filled with different stages and many emotions but calling it “grieving” or “grief” makes it easier to grasp.

I know I have enough time to live this life. And before you think it’s about capability, it’s not that either. I am confident I’m capable of crossing the finish line for every single one of my goals.

I’m sure you have heard about overconsumption. We all know how fast fashion is slowly killing our planet, hence why thrifting and buying second-hand is better than online shopping. Not only are we shopping sustainably, but we’re also saving money. Plus, there’s an undeniable satisfaction that comes from finding the perfect piece after looking through the whole thrift store that buying a top from Princess Polly does not match.

As an international student from Nicaragua at IU, I saw many things that I was not used to during my freshman year. I experienced fall and winter for the first time. I saw leaves and snow slowly fall from my dorm window. It was filled with new things, new people and definitely new clothes.

It’s no surprise trends from the past have a way of coming back. Take low-rise jeans as an example. After almost two decades of being out of style, they are becoming popular again. Now, some might argue that this is merely a statement about clothes, but I would argue otherwise. Low-rise jeans are coming back and, unfortunately, they’re bringing “skinny” with them.
