As the water settled prior to Tuesday’s 100m breaststroke final, IU junior swimmer Lilly King just stood in her lane staring at her former foe preparing in the lane next to hers. Russian swimmer Yulia Efimova continued her pre-race routine as if she didn’t know King was glaring her way.

IU’s volleyball and wrestling teams will soon have a home on campus in the form of a new 3,000-seat, $17 million arena. The new venue will be located on the northwest corner of 17th Street and Fee Lane, next to Cook Hall and near IU’s other athletics facilities.

IU softball needed to make a coaching change after former head coach Michelle Gardner resigned from the program on May 24. Senior Associate Athletic Director Scott Joraanstad led the search party for a replacement after the team finished the year with a 23-31 overall record.

In 120 seasons, the Hoosier football team has been to a total of 11 bowl games, and currently has a 3-8 all-time bowl game record.
