Sandhya Sridhar, a dancer with HoosieRaas, teaches students the tradititional styles of the Indian dance Garba-Raas in the Great Room of the Hutton Honors College. The dance comes from the state of Gujarat, India and variations incorporate the use of wooden sticks called dandiyas. "When I first saw Raas, they said make sure you are moving your head and body with energy," Sridhr told the students. "It's a high-energy dance and that's what captures the audience's attention."
