Sophomore Emily Snyder and junior Alicia Heyman work on freehand henna tattoos Monday at the Asian Culture Center. Sophomore Hallie Baumann teaches a weekly henna class on Mondays from 5 to 6 p.m. at the center. Henna comes from the ground leaves of the henna tree, which is then mixed with lemon juice to create a paste that adheres to and temporarily stains the skin, usually for one to three weeks.
