Scott Evans, a Bloomington resident, scans a waterfowl resting area through his spyglass, identifying multiple species of birds. Evans, an elementary teacher at Harmony School, watches birds as his hobby. The resting area is located east of Bloomington on the backwaters of the Monroe Reservoir. It is a haven for a myriad of bird species and draws several birdwatchers.
