Lonely wah-wah guitar riffs and effervescent electronics characterize the music of these four performers, whose band delivers exactly what it promises. Gentle Shades is about an eclectic environment, mostly improvised, and full of colours (greens and blues, for this listener). It's an elastic surrealism that stretches you from chord to chord. Just in case you don't have the chance to feel the vibe tomorrow at the Bishop (of if you loved it so much the first time that you had to have it again), you can see them perform again on Friday at Bear's Place.
